Flight Wall is a personal, locally installed flight board and household display. This policy explains its read-only Google Calendar connection and distinguishes the installed application from this public informational website.

What Calendar access allows

With your consent, Flight Wall requests permission to view your calendar list and read calendar events. It uses calendar names, identifiers and timezone information to let you select calendar roles. It then reads events from those selected calendars to produce flight views and, if configured, household schedule context.

• calendar.calendarlist.readonly lets the app list calendars you can access.
• calendar.events.readonly lets it read events from calendars you can access.

These Google permissions can cover more calendars than you select; Flight Wall’s configuration determines which calendars it synchronizes. It cannot create, change or delete your Google events. Google passwords are entered at Google, not in Flight Wall.

What the app uses and keeps

The app keeps authorization tokens, selected calendar identifiers, configuration and parsed schedule data in private storage on the device, outside the versioned application. Parsed data includes flight identifiers, flight numbers, routes, scheduled times, report times, source-calendar information and sync status. Optional family calendar roles produce derived household schedule intervals.

Full calendar descriptions, crew lists, organizer/contact details and raw calendar exports are not retained. Optional hotel mode, off until enabled, can temporarily read descriptions to extract narrowly labeled hotel or layover information; it discards the underlying description and unrelated details.

Where data goes

The installed application communicates with Google to authorize access and retrieve calendar data. It displays selected information on the owner’s TV and makes relevant information available through authenticated local application interfaces. Anyone who can see the TV may see information being displayed. An owner who separately enables remote access controls access to those interfaces.

Google Calendar data is not sent to this public website, sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Flight Wall’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention, revocation and deletion

A successful synchronization replaces the relevant schedule cache. A failed synchronization can leave the last successful cache available; there is no promise of automatic deletion after a fixed number of days. Authorization tokens and settings remain until replaced or removed.

You can revoke Flight Wall’s access through your Google Account’s third-party connections. Revocation stops future authorized access but does not erase information already stored on your device. To erase locally retained data, ask the device owner or administrator to remove the relevant account credentials, selected-calendar configuration and cached schedule data, including any backups. The private application data directory is /userdata/system/configs/flightwall; deletion should be scoped carefully to preserve unrelated household settings.

Other optional features

Calendar authorization does not grant Gmail access, phone location, notification access or access to a ChatGPT Google connector. Optional mail previews require separate Google consent. Optional phone presence requires separate pairing and explicit phone-owner consent; it keeps current presence state, not GPS history. Other integrations require their own setup and permissions. No such connection is established by visiting this website.

This website

These pages provide app information and policies. They contain no calendar sign-in form, calendar data upload, advertising script or app analytics code. Hosting providers may process ordinary web-request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the website.

Questions and updates

For help with the installed application, data access or deletion, contact the installation owner or the support address shown on Flight Wall’s Google consent screen. Changes to data practices will be reflected on this page and in relevant setup disclosures. Before using Google user data in a new way or for a different purpose, the app will provide notice and request consent.
